We help people who help people by using music to support various charities and movements across the globe.
Overview
Music for the World was started by Lavender, a songwriter and engineer with a long term desire to make the world a better place. Music for the World donates money and goods to other charity organizations and people in need.
A Deeper Dive
Origin
Music for the World started as the senior project of Lavender's high school education. Since then, she has continued making music and supporting various charities with the help of donations from friends and family. Now with a full team, we are working on becoming a 501(c)(3) organization and expanding our horizons to partner with dozens of other musicians and organizations to fulfill our mission.
History
Our charity initiatives are organized into what we call projects. A project consists of at least one charitable cause and a duration, which are decided by our team. A project might also include a fundraising concert, crowdfunding campaign (GoFundMe), and/or specified music/merch sold for the cause during the duration of the project. Examples can be found here.
Previously supported causes: education, adoption, housing support, clean water, COVID-19 relief, racial equity, LGBTQ support, cancer research and cancer patient support, sustainability

Why Music?
Lavender was exposed to music at a very young age and has quite a few musicians in her family. She has been writing songs since she was about 6 years old and understands the power that music has. As one of few species with musical comprehension, humans have been gifted with this incredible resource.
